George Washington Carver - a great American

Last year in our homeschool we read a biography of George Washington Carver. He is an amazing man who loved God and his creation. He reasoned if God made it, it must have a purpose. GWC found 300 purposes for peanuts. But he's not only the great peanut man but a great scientist and spokesman for the poor farmer who needed a sustainable agriculture but also sufficient food. Cotton destroyed not only the lives of slaves but the land and competed sith edible crop space. Carver also advocated the sweet potato as an incredible source of nutrition.
