Prayer and vacation

the good thing about vacation is that it keeps all your daily duties out of reach. that never ending chore list only lives at your house. so yesterday morning, i woke up early, before my wife and our friends, before my three kids and our friends' four kids woke, and i did not know what to do. we were sleeping in a two room cabin in the Berkshire Mts. in Massachusetts. the dog was with us too, and she was whining. i brought her outside, made a trip to the outhouse, and felt the sun peeking through all the leaves shading the cabin. it was peaceful, it was quiet, i was at a loss. finally, the good Lord reminded me that was still near and always available to listen. so i prayed. and i got to do it again. i took the dog for an hour and a half walk, and prayed.

speaking of prayer, blogging on my personal thoughts, such as this, will be so infrequent, because i have a very painful case of tendonitis in my right wrist. so i'd appreciate any prayers for healing.
