more alternative house construction options
i don't know if i will ever be building my own house but if i did i need my blog to keep track of this interesting technology.
Nascor walls look interesting, basically vertical engineered wood i-beams with 5 inches of polystyrene between them. i'm not too satisfied with their explanation of reduced thermal bridging though. i still like the fiberglass homes of Composite Building Structures, but their website doesn't update too frequently. they periodically answer comments at their blog. i can't find too much about them online that's not their own PR.
another cool thing is shetka stone, countertops or tiles made with recycled post consumer paper.
